Combining urban and natural ecosystems the project offers a rich variety of built fabrics and programs, creating a playful new relationship between the city and the sea.
Allocating the best part of the waterfront to public use, the plan proposed the 15 kilometer car free coastal park with a rich array of activities that will become the new heart of the waterfront city. The newly built city of Shenshan is seen as a unique opportunity to create the optimal coastal city, a poetic mix between artificial and natural that grows a new sustainable and creative waterfront culture.
